The Adelaide University Paediatrics Society is a new, multidisciplinary group that aims to facilitate advocacy, charity, networking and education within the area of child health. Its purpose is to promote the wellbeing of all children (ages 0-18 inclusive) within Australia as well as overseas and to connect those interested in careers within child health to relevant and useful information. The society’s structure incorporates multiple fields and is designed to reflect the diverse nature of child and adolescent life. Whilst the areas of medicine, nursing, dentistry & oral health, psychology and teaching receive explicit representation on the committee (through dedicated course representatives) and are the initial focus of society activities, all are welcome to attend events, participate in meetings and stand for election. The society is open, friendly and always looking for new ways to grow and expand. If you have any suggestions, would like to get involved or simply want to say hi then we would love to hear from you!
