The Employment Service

Adelaide University Union Employment Service aims to provide expert, up-to-date employment assistance and information to students of Adelaide University in a friendly and professional manner.

Our services for students include

  • Employment Service job database advertising current employment & volunteering vacancies
  • a range of employment development and work preparation seminars and workshops
  • casual employment resume and cover letter review
  • advice and assistance with work related issues i.e. pay, tax and super.

Service Eligibility

Currently enrolled students and recent graduates (graduating within the past 12 months) are eligible for all services. Recent graduates and alumni more than 12 months out have ongoing access to Career Services via Career Hub email them on careers@adelaide.edu.au.

The University of Adelaide's Alumni Relations Program offers graduates a great range of services, including events, programs and career articles.

We seek a highly motivated Customer Service / Sales Representative to join the Discovery Holiday Parks' Customer Service Centre located in the Adelaide CBD.
This customer contact role is an exciting opportunity to provide end to end service to both new and existing customers regarding their holiday and accommodation needs.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Outstanding sales experience
* Aptitude in organisational and time management
* Sound computer knowledge
* Initiative and resourcefulness
* Motivation and willingness to learn
* Efficient and polite customer service manner

Extensive product and system training will be given to the successful applicant who will also be provided with continued support and professional development.
Previous experience in the travel industry will be highly regarded, however, it is not essential.

The successful applicant will be employed on a casual basis with a flexible roster and will be required to work predominantly on the weekends.

The position will suit someone with high levels of energy, who is self-motivated,
enjoys working in a team-based environment and finds reward and satisfaction in performing the high level of customer service required to fulfill this role.
