The Employment Service

Adelaide University Union Employment Service aims to provide expert, up-to-date employment assistance and information to students of Adelaide University in a friendly and professional manner.

Our services for students include

  • Employment Service job database advertising current employment & volunteering vacancies
  • a range of employment development and work preparation seminars and workshops
  • casual employment resume and cover letter review
  • advice and assistance with work related issues i.e. pay, tax and super.

Service Eligibility

Currently enrolled students and recent graduates (graduating within the past 12 months) are eligible for all services. Recent graduates and alumni more than 12 months out have ongoing access to Career Services via Career Hub email them on careers@adelaide.edu.au.

Resources for alumni

The University of Adelaide's Alumni Relations Program offers graduates a great range of services, including events, programs and career articles.

Clubs Liaison Volunteer - COTA Seniors Voice,

Position Description

Visit seniors clubs for over 50s and assist with activities, planning, management, special events and other club matters as agreed. Provide appropriate information and resources to clubs as required. Participate in training programs and bi monthly Club Liaison Volunteer meetings.

Skills Required:
Excellent interpersonal skills; Good command of the English language; Ability to research, record and retrieve information; Ability to resolve conflict; Knowledge and understanding of seniors clubs and the rights of older people

Training Offered:
Organisational orientation/induction and on the job training provided

Location: Northern suburbs
Length of Role: On-going
Days & Times: Varies according to need
Number of Volunteers Required: 2
Driver's Licence Required: Preferable
