The Employment Service

Adelaide University Union Employment Service aims to provide expert, up-to-date employment assistance and information to students of Adelaide University in a friendly and professional manner.

Our services for students include

  • Employment Service job database advertising current employment & volunteering vacancies
  • a range of employment development and work preparation seminars and workshops
  • casual employment resume and cover letter review
  • advice and assistance with work related issues i.e. pay, tax and super.

Service Eligibility

Currently enrolled students and recent graduates (graduating within the past 12 months) are eligible for all services. Recent graduates and alumni more than 12 months out have ongoing access to Career Services via Career Hub email them on careers@adelaide.edu.au.

The University of Adelaide's Alumni Relations Program offers graduates a great range of services, including events, programs and career articles.

Tour Down Under Event Volunteers,

Tour Down Under event volunteers 

Help South Australia unite in the fight against cancer this summer.

Next January Adelaide will come alive with the sights and sounds of the Tour Down Under. For

eight days, the world's best cyclists will race through some of the most scenic parts of South Australia including
the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Goolwa and the CBD.

Lance Armstrong is returning to Adelaide to launch his new Radioshack Team and 2010 promises to be the biggest and best Tour Down Under yet.

Cancer Council SA will again be the Official Charity Partner for the Tour and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers
who will unite with us in the fight against cancer during Tour Down Under 2010.

We are seeking volunteers who will work with Cancer Council in a range of areas, including:

 * on-the-ground engagement with the community through awareness raising activities at each start and finish location


* set up of Cancer Council SA sites at start and finish of each stage


* drivers who will transport volunteers and equipment to and from the race each day (all cars are automatic)


* coordination and administration of all our volunteer activities.


2010 dates and times:
Sunday 17 January (Adelaide CBD)
Tuesday 19 January (Clare and Tanunda)
Wednesday 20 January (Gawler and Hahndorf)
Thursday 21 January (Unley and Stirling)
Friday 22 January (Norwood and Goolwa)
Saturday 23 January (Aldinga Beach and Willunga)
Sunday 24 January (Adelaide CBD)

Time will be flexible between 8 am and 8 pm most days.
