The Adelaide University Union (AUU) is looking for an organised, passionate and enthusiastic Events Officer to join our dynamic and creative team.

About us:

The AUU is the key provider of social, cultural, and support services to all students of the University of Adelaide.We aim to offer members access to a range of exciting programs, activities and events that engage students on all levels across the three campuses at the University of Adelaide.

About the position:

This position is a crucial component of our small events team with the delivery of a busy events calendar. Your responsibilities will be varied and diverse and you will be constantly multi-tasking between projects to contribute to the team.You will take initiative in the development and planning of new events, undertaking logistical planning, stakeholder management, budgeting, risk management and the delivery of events from start to finish.

About you:

We are seeking an individual with experience working in events. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and a “can do” attitude with the ability to problem solve in stressful situations. The successful candidate won’t be afraid to get their hands dirty, will have exceptional communication skills, will be proactive, motivated and have the ability to develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders, peers and staff at all levels. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently on projects as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the events team for larger projects.

If you are a recent graduate with a tertiary qualification in Events Management and or demonstrated experience working in events, this position is for you!
