French Club

Campus: North Terrace

Bonjour Tout le Monde!  Here at the French Club we specialise in engaging students in French culture and giving students an opportunity to establish intercultural relationships and develop their skills in speaking French. We do this in a variety of ways, trying to keep things relaxed, fun and quirky. We work with numerous groups on and off campus to ensure that the entire university campus has the opportunity to see what the French have to offer.

Events: We organise a wide selection of events throughout the year, including croissant picnics at the beginning of each semester, weekly conversation groups, a pubcrawl, film nights, cheese nights and a wine tour. The French Club also presents the infamous annual French play (performed entirely in French!) every September in the Little Theatre on campus. As part of our celebration of French language and culture in Adelaide, we also organise events to support other Adelaide-based French cultural groups and organisations. This includes attending French films during the Alliance Français French Film Festival in March/April and productions by Adelaide-based Panache theatre company.
