The Adelaide University Union (AUU) is looking for an organised, passionate and enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to join our dynamic and creative team.
The AUU is the key provider of social, cultural, and support services to all students of the University of Adelaide. We aim to offer members access to a range of exciting programs, activities and events that engage students on all levels across the three campuses at the University of Adelaide.
About the Role:
The AUU’s Volunteering Program offers students at the University of Adelaide an opportunity to immerse themselves in campus life to give back to the student community, gain a range of valuable experiences and connect with other enthusiastic volunteers. Our program offers a range of exciting opportunities assisting with on-campus events and off-campus positions.
Primary responsibilities for this role will include:
- Coordinating the Union’s volunteering program including the volunteering opportunities on and off campus.
- Recruit, train, supervise and motivate volunteers
- Create a valuable experience for student volunteers at the University of Adelaide
- Initiate new opportunities on and off campus to expand the volunteering positions available
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person who will have the ability to lead this program with their strong interpersonal skills. This team player will seek new opportunities to grow and develop the program offerings and will expand the Union’s networks through the on campus and off campus volunteering community.
We are looking to have our current program reviewed to create more opportunities for students to develop skills within the campus community so this role will be suited to a motivated, experienced and autonomous working individual.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised with sound administrative and communication skills who has the ability to connect with a diverse range of students, staff and University stakeholders. Demonstrated experience working in youth volunteering and programming is highly favourable.
