Name: Chuyue Qin

Preferred Name: Angela Qin

Degree and year of study?

Bachelor of Teaching with Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Science, 3rd year

What inspired you to engage with the office and role(s) you currently hold?

My drive to represent and support students, especially international students, has encouraged me to be an AUU board director.

I believe my passion towards building a vibrant student culture on campus has led me to the Clubs Committee Chair.

What Clubs are you involved with at UofA?

Anime Club, Adelaide University Physics Institution

What led you to join the club(s)?

My personal interest as well as my will to support my friends’ club have led me to join these clubs.

Favourite holiday destination/activity?

Of course, my hometown! Visiting family members and cook traditional cuisine are the best past time.

Favourite place to study on campus?

Barr Smith level 1, music library is my favourite place – if there is space. Otherwise, Fix lounge in Union (will be in Hartley in the future) is a chill place to go as well.

What do you hope to achieve in your office and role(s) in 2020?

I would like to ensure the AUU Board equally represent all voices from students, as well as continually providing support to all. Most importantly, I want to make sure we offer more support to clubs, especially newly founded clubs, in terms of event planning, applying for funding, etc.

What advice would you give to students starting out at the University of Adelaide?

Join a club, make friends, go to lecture, do your assignments early, and enjoy!
