What inspired you to engage with the office and role(s) you currently hold?

I am currently the President of AUU as well as a General Councillor on the SRC.

Having been engaged with the AUU board and SRC, I think the need of constructive relationship with the university, attention to imminent student issues, and strong attention to management of organisation and representative instead of focusing too much on distant political issues inspired me to engage with these roles.

What do you hope to achieve in your office and role(s) in 2021?

I hope to maintain the constructive relationship with the university through open communications whenever possible. As an international student, I also look forward to engage my fellow international students and ensure their study experiences are positive and vibrant

What Clubs are you involved with at UofA?

Education Students Association!

What led you to join the club(s)?

A degree in teaching and a passion for fellow teaching students.

Favourite holiday destination/activity? 

Hometown in China and northern China – great scenery, wonderful skiing resort and very cute dogs!

Favourite place to study on campus?

Ingarnii Wardli - I practically lived there in my second year! They have huge classrooms and giant computer screens, perfect for coding or studying. 

What advice would you give to students starting out at the University of Adelaide?

Go join a club, take leadership position, and know your limit – don’t work too hard, don’t play too hard either. Most importantly, enjoy!
