Women's Officer

Georgia Honan

Degree and Year of study: I am in my fourth year of a double degree in Law and Media.

What inspired you to engage with the office and the role you currently hold? I want students to be more connected with their SRC reps, and have always been passionate about women’s issues, so I couldn’t think of a better way to achieve both.

What do you hope to achieve in your office and role in 2021? I hope to be able to better support women through their time at university - connecting likeminded women to help them form networks, and advocating for women’s issues, particularly in the health sector.

What Clubs are you involved with at UofA? The Law School Society and the Adelaide University Liberal Club.

What led you to join the clubs(s)? I wanted to build connections with likeminded students.

Favourite holiday destination/activity? I love a good beach holiday and trying food from different cultures

Favourite place to study on campus? I like the basement level of the Law Library - it’s nice and quiet to minimise opportunities to procrastinate!

What advice would you give to students starting out at the University of Adelaide? Give everything a go! You never know what you might learn or the people you could meet.
