Graduate Civil Engineer

Richmond Civil Works is a mid-tier civil company servicing the SA commercial market for the past 25 years, specializing in all aspects of civil works.

You will be responsible for managing subbies, safety and quality, working alongside the Project Manager and Site Supervisor.

Handling projects ranging from $500k- $3m, you will be trained to become a competent Project Manager. 

Full time – immediate start available

Probation Period:

6 Months

Role includes:

• Plan and manage subcontractors
• Coordinate programs around technical specifications and project design
• Assist in creating, review and implementation of WHS documentation
• Creation and implementation of quality assurance procedures, ITPs manuals and checklists
• Preparation of budgets and quotes and monitoring of expenses
• Directly manage small civil construction projects
• Managing subcontractors to ensure works are delivered on time and to budget
• Liaison with all relevant service authorities in relation to their assets affecting our projects
• Quantity verifications
• Preparation and monitoring of Project program
• Invoicing and progress payments
• Manage variations and RFI's
• Read and interpret plans

Must possess the following attributes

• Tertiary civil engineering qualifications or equivalent building degree
• Graduate to 3 years’ experience
• Must be based in Adelaide
• Previous civil engineering or building experience with reputable Australian contractor, Tier 2 or below is highly regarded but not essential
• An understanding of planning, execution and reporting of projects
• An understanding of project management as well as engineering principles and construction methods.
• Be outcome focused and have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
