Starlight’s mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families. Our volunteers are an important part of the Starlight team. They’re a wonderful community of positive, committed people who share Starlight’s values and love to help others.

What does a Starlight Office Volunteer do?

Starlight offices are busy, vibrant workplaces and we love having volunteers helping us. Depending on what needs doing and what your skills are, you could find yourself organising and planning event logistics, helping with data entry, office support and admin, helping with mailouts, calling supporters, securing auction items for a fundraiser, recording minutes for a board meeting… all sorts of things.

This role will have a focus on assisting with the administration and logistics behind one of Starlight's signature events, Five Chefs.

What skills do we look for?

  • Organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Previous events and administrative experience is ideal
  • Plenty of initiative and willingness to help
  • Positivity
  • Computer literacy
  • Good communications skills and phone manner

What’s the time commitment?

This role is for one day per week (5 hours) for a minimum commitment of 6 months.
