I’m Oliver Kleinig and I’m running to be your next SRC General Councillor with UNITE!

Rampant cost-cutting has eaten away at our education. We’ve had enough of pre-recorded lectures from 2017; we’re fed up with Zoom when public health advice allows clubbing; we’re done with an empty university campus. As your GC, I will fight tirelessly alongside health advice to get us Adelaide Uni students back into Adelaide Uni.

Further, since 2019, the AUU (shrouded by in-camera meetings) has relentlessly bullied clubs and students alike, while rolling over to the University when they try to merge faculties, cut courses and staff. 

The SRC has stifled more discussions than they start, existing as a mouthpiece for university management rather than the student voice. It’s in dire need of fresh activism, something I promise to deliver. 

Unite is the party for students. We believe in:

Promoting transparency and democracy within the AUU and SRC

Fighting against cuts, mergers and Proctor U

Building a vibrant campus culture through supporting clubs and a return to campus

Supporting vulnerable and minority groups on campus

Making campus safe for all students and staff
