Hi, I'm Steph Madigan and I’m running to be a SRC General Councillor with Unite.

I’m running because I am passionate about politics and policy. I have a strong background in public speaking and I want to marry that to the pursuit of dignity, democracy, and social justice on campus. Every student at the University faces a different kind of adversity and (considering the high cost of tuition) deserves a campus environment that is well-funded and equitable.

Stupol is now dominated by conservative agenda-setters who want to smother discussions of social justice and university reform in the name of apoliticism. I want to reform the image of SRC as self important careerists who ignore the basic needs of their peers. Instead, we should raise the bar on integrity, striving to exceed expectations while being honest about whether or not policies are achievable.

Unite is the party for the practical student. We have our priorities in order, we are constantly learning and drawing wisdom from the students who came before us, and we will have your back.
