Hello, my name is Oliver Shephard-Bayly and I’m running to be your AUU Board Director with UNITE.

I’m running because I feel strongly in a Student Union that fights for the best outcomes for Students!

Over the last few years we’ve seen an AUU which holds more secret meetings than open ones, blocks women from having a club on campus, relentlessly bullies clubs and students alike, doesn’t take an active lead on restoring campus culture, and rolls over to the University when they try to merge faculties, cut courses and staff.

We’ve seen an SRC that’s keener to stifle discussions than start them, exists as a mouthpiece for university management rather than students, constantly degrades its members and systematically prevents them from doing their jobs.

Unite is the genuine party of students. We believe in:

Promoting transparency and democracy within the AUU and SRC

Fighting against cuts, mergers and Proctor U

Building a vibrant campus culture through supporting clubs

Supporting vulnerable and minority groups on campus

Making campus safe for all students and staff

Vote UNITE to restore transparency to our University institutions  

Vote for the entire UNITE team on the AUU and SRC!
