  • 2021 Code of Conduct

    The Code of Conduct expresses broadly the values and behavioural expectations that are critical in building and maintaining a performance culture within the Adelaide University Union (AUU).

  • Child Safe Environment Policy

    The Union has a duty of care to its staff and volunteers and is committed to providing the highest standards of behaviour and conduct. The Union acknowledges that through their employment Union staff may come into contact with children. This policy has been authored to ensure the AUU remains a Child Safe Environment.

  • Conduct and Behaviour Policy

    Further to the Code of Conduct, this policy provides further detail for conduct and behaviour expectations within the AUU.

  • Confidentiality Policy

    The Confidentiality policy is intended as a guide to identify confidential information and the employee’s responsibility to maintain its confidentiality.

  • Digital Communications Policy

    The Adelaide University Union (“the Union”) provides its staff with access to technology to enable them to efficiently perform their duties, and requires staff to use these facilities in an appropriate manner. This policy provides staff with guidance on the use of computers in the workplace and set guidelines as to what constitutes acceptable use of email, internet and social media in connection with employment at the Union.

  • Staff Grievance Policy

    This policy allows the AUU and its Affiliates to deal with complaints from employees about the behaviour of other employees, or matters that adversely affect their ability to work productively in a positive environment. The AUU and its Affiliates has a legal responsibility to ensure that employees are not subjected to unlawful discrimination, harassment, victimisation or bullying.

  • WHS COVID 19 Policy

    The purpose of this policy is to identify the measures the AUU have in place in order to minimize the risk and exposure to COVID-19 for our employees and visitors in the workplace.

  • WHS Hazardous Substances Policy

    The Union is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees, the community and the environment by controlling the purchase, storage, use and disposal of hazardous substances. No employee will use a hazardous substance before receiving instructions on the risks associated with its use and the precautions necessary to minimise them. The use of hazardous substances will be subject to continuous review and any new substance brought into the workplace must be accompanied with a Material Safety Data Sheet that can be added to the register of hazardous substances

  • WHS Housekeeping Policy

    The Union is committed to providing a work environment which is, as far as reasonably practicable, safe. Good housekeeping is an integral part of good safety. Accidents and injuries may be caused by cluttered or poorly organised workplaces and walkways.

  • WHS Manual Handling Policy

    The purpose of this policy is to ensure the identification, assessment and control of all manual handling tasks performed by employees, in accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Health and Safety legislation and regulations.

  • WHS Security Policy

    The Union recognises its obligation to take all reasonable precautions to provide and maintain so far as reasonably practicable, a work environment that is safe and hazard free, and to eliminate or where not practicable minimise risks to the health, safety and welfare of workers (including but not limited to employees, contractors, and volunteers) and visitors.

  • WHS Sun Protection Policy

    The Union is concerned about the prevention of health and safety problems which are likely to occur because of the effects of the sun. Employees and volunteers may on occasion be required to work in an area exposed to the sun, particularly when conducting or setting up events. The objective of this Policy is to assist the Union to meet it’s obligations under WHS legislation, and ensure that employees are kept safe from any risks to their health and safety that are associated with the sun.

  • WHS Workplace Bullying and Harassment Policy

    The Union is committed to providing a working environment that is pleasant for employees to work in and that is conducive to good workplace health, safety and workplace relations, and ensuring that employees are not subject to any form of workplace harassment.

  • WHS Workplace Health and Safety Policy

    The most valuable asset to the Union is its employees whose health, safety and welfare at work are paramount. All employees who work at the Union have responsibilities for observing occupational health, safety and welfare requirements. This policy outlines these responsibilities.
