Name: Isaac Trumble

Preferred Name: Isaac

Degree and year of study? Third year Law student

What inspired you to engage with the office and role(s) you currently hold? I believe that for a while now student unions in Australia have been represented by a group of people who don't necessarily represent all students. I feel my voice will provide an alternative opinion to what I would describe as the status quo.

What Clubs are you involved with at UofA? I'm an Activities representative for the Adelaide University Law Students Society and a member of the Adelaide Uni Liberal Club.

What led you to join the club(s)? I was encouraged to join by the members of the club.

Favourite holiday destination/activity? Skiing in Canada has been my favourite holiday of my life.

Favourite place to study on campus? I usually study at the bottom of Ligertwood - but anywhere on campus is better than studying at home.

What do you hope to achieve in your office and role(s) in 2020? I hope to run the SRC as smoothly as possible as General Secretary. I'd also like to steer the SRC away from wasting time discussing and moving motions which serve no purpose other than virtue signalling and feeling good about taking a particular stance and instead focus on issues which the SRC can directly influence to positively influence student life on campus.

What advice would you give to students starting out at the University of Adelaide? Get involved in University life. You can either come in for classes and leave immediately after, or you could have a go and make incredible experiences for yourself which you'll remember for years to come.
